dedicate destroyer items instead of customize
We all know when everything was first introduced. They customized mini's because they didn't want everyone swapping to put in monuments. Later on they made them dedicated so all your characters could use them.
So why can't destroyer items be dedicated instead? Otherwise your war is going to end up with staffs, wands, focuses that they don't even need just because your focusing on maxing their hall of monuments.
Seems like this should be an easy change and doesn't seem like their is really any reason to be against it.

Yup. This would at least let us use them as hero fodder for our alts instead of deleting them.

Agreed, not only because this would make a bit more convenience for the destroyer weapons, but because it would save hundreds of platinum to max out the halls of different characters on your account. Each one costs around 100k, including costs of materials. 11 weapons X 100k=1100k per character. Making them dedicated rather than customized would help there.

yup..signed ...
also signed for everythign beign dedicated..instead of customized ....
dedication has for the gameplay the absolute same functionality..like customiozation.. no other then your character(s) can your such items ...
the only difference between customization and dedication lies in the (s) ...while customization is an own account limitation..dedication isnt.
Dedication is a much better working ways of the same system..then customization.. because it has not the said limitation for the own account..lettign all your characters use something, what is dedicated to your account ... and thats imo the only way of handling it. which makes at all anyhow sense...

I /sign the make everything dedicated instead of customized part. Makes no sense to make destroyer weapons the only dedicated weapons tho.

/signed on the idea.
My Ele will be collecting destroyer weapons in her hall...now she has Staff, Wand and Focus...I guess I'll have to start working on caster weapons if I want useable weapons for her monument. There is a further option though, which I'm considering, which is to not bother adding them to the monument yet, and instead, using the weapons on their intended characters, and putting them in the hall on the GW:2 release.

It is a waste to have staffs, wands ect customised to my warrior when they would be put to much better use on other characters.

That does make more sense, especially since even though the Destroyer weapons get customized, they don't add the extra 20% damage like other weapons do. But of course, like minis, they could only be dedicated in one Hall of Monuments.

Customise your weapons for crying out loud. Everyone goes ape sh1t about 15>50 but an unconditional 20%? Pfff who cares. :|

Indeed. Unless perhaps if I was a cheapskate and wanted to build ranged adren with the same weapon I put my conjure up with.
I read the suggestion. In fact, I read through it.
How many people seriously, at this moment, plan on buying destroyer weapons inappropriate to their class purely to display in HoM?
Very few.
How many people don't wish to customise their weapons so they can sell them later, but still wish to display them in the HoM.
Many.
I'll admit that my irritation does not lie with the people who do actually fall into the first catagory. If they want to max their HoM with every possible Destroyer weapon, that's their choice, however foolish it may be in my opinion.
On the other hand I do wish to encourage people to customise their weapons, hence my /unsigned, which I stand by.
